Utrecht Art Supplies, in conjunction with THE GALLERY ON BAUM, is proud to host “BIDS FOR KIDS” - a ONE NIGHT ONLY Art Show and Charity Auction benefitting the BRASHEAR ASSOCIATION”S FREE AFTER SCHOOL ART PROGRAM FOR KIDS.

This FREE Event will be held SATURDAY APRIL 28th at THE GALLERY ON BAUM located at 4643 Baum Boulevard in Pittsburgh. Doors will Open at 6:30 PM. Charity Auction will begin at approximately 7:30PM.

BIDS FOR KIDS will feature show pieces created on 10″ x 14″ wooden palettes by local artists who participated in Utrecht Art Supplies Competition entitled “PIGMENTS OF YOUR IMAGINATION”.

FREE REFRESHMENTS AND SNACKS PROVIDED IN ADDITION TO MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT.

Over 40 Palettes will be on display. Bidding on individual palettes will start at just $20 and subsequent bids in increments of $5. Each Winning Bidder will also receive a FREE UTRECHT GIFT BAG containing product samples worth at least $25!!! We will also invite each artist to be on hand for a “MEET AND GREET” to give you firsthand information on their particular piece of work.

The Brashear Association, located on Sarah Street in the Southside of Pittsburgh, supports and enriches families in a community context to build more vital lives and neighborhoods in South Pittsburgh. Through its provision of human services and community action, Brashear recognizes community strengths and diversity and encourages self-help, citizen education and community improvement and involvement.

Please join local Artist Andrea Muha at the Pittsburgh Technical Institute for her opening reception on April 5th from 4:30pm - 7:30pm.  Andrea will have numerous pieces on hand showing her photographic perspective on nature in addition to mixed media paintings of Pittsburgh Cityscapes.  Three other artists will also be featured including Jim Studeny, Kim Stewart and Beth Hovanec.  The show will be held at the Gallery on the PTI campus located in Oakdale, PA.  For more information or directions, call Ruth Delach at 412-809-5305 or email her at delach@pti.edu.

Utrecht Art Supplies – Pittsburgh 2012 Contest

“Pigments of Your Imagination”

Eligibility
The Utrecht Art Supplies “Pigments of Your Imagination” Competition, is open to legal residents of the United States who are at least eighteen years old at time of entry.  

Timing
The Competition begins on February 3, 2012 and ends on March 18, 2012.

How to Enter

Visit Utrecht at 1930 E. Carson Street, Pittsburgh, PA and fill out registration form. Contestant will receive a wooden 10×14 oval palette and submit an Entry fee of a $5 CASH Deposit which will be FULLY REFUNDABLE upon the submission of their COMPLETED Entry. Contestants may use any UTRECHT BRANDED Medium (paint, pencils, pens, pastels, charcoal, etc…).  Any Entry submitted after deadline will be ineligible for Competition and will FORFEIT the $5 CASH Deposit. Entries to the Competition must be submitted through the Utrecht Pittsburgh Store. Competition LIMITED TO 75 ENTRIES in total. Multiple entries not permitted. All entries become sole & exclusive property of Utrecht.  Customers visiting the Utrecht location at 1930 East Carson Street, Pittsburgh, PA between March 19, 2012 and April 1, 2012 who make a purchase of $25 or more will be eligible to cast a voting ballot selecting three entries based on quality and originality of work. Winners will be notified on or about April 3, 2012.   Results will be tabulated by Utrecht and be deemed Final upon completion of the voting process.

Prizes

Grand Prize (Most Customer Votes): A $150 Utrecht ArtSmart Gift Card

First Place: A $75 Utrecht ArtSmart Gift Card

Second Place: A Utrecht Sample Product Gift Bag (value at least $50)

Entry Conditions

By entering the Competition, entrant represents and warrants to Utrecht as follows: (a) all elements of the Entry Materials may be reproduced and generally used by Utrecht as contemplated in these Official Rules without the knowledge, consent or approval of any third party; (b) entrant hereby grants Utrecht the irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, assignable and royalty-free right to use the name, image, likeness, comments and biographical data of entrant, and to photograph, adapt and reproduce the Entry Materials, in its various products and services and the related advertising, publicity, promotional and marketing materials of Utrecht in any and all media, and to permit others to do so.
 

General Conditions

Utrecht reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Competition.  Utrecht reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or any other promotion or in an unsportsmanlike, distasteful or disruptive manner.
